Thomas Richard Baumgart, 52, of Palm Coast, Fla., formerly of Butler, lost his battle with cancer on July 20 at his home in Florida.
Born in Butler, Aug. 12, 1953, he was the son of Elizabeth Baumgart and the late Norbert P. Baumgart.
He was a 1971 graduate of Butler High School and had worked at Pullman Standard, Ron's Lawn and Garden, Butler Motor Transit and Bintrim Builders. For 25 years, he was the owner and operator of Tom's Mobile Home Park.
Mr. Baumgart lived in Butler until moving to Florida in 2005.
He was a member of the Butler Masonic Lodge 272 and the New Castle Consistory. He enjoyed hunting and playing guitars. He also enjoyed racing, showing and collecting classic cars and was a member of the Northeast Hemi Owners Association, the Right Coast Car Club of Florida and the North American Hunting Club.
Survivors include his children's mother, Sharon Hinton of Palm Coast; three daughters, Laura Stephenson of Palm Coast and Amy Lynn and Crystal Gayle Baumgart, both of Butler; his mother of Butler; a brother, Norbert J. Baumgart of Warren, Pa.; and four sisters, Mary Lou Barnes, Cecilia Kennedy and Cathy Kohlmeyer, all of Butler, and Carol Kudamik of New Hill, N.C. Two grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

What a guy. I remember you teased me relentlessly but I could never get mad because of that great smile. What fun we had at the pool by your place late at night. Two or three would show up and then we'd end up with a dozen or so. Ride on Tom. Know you are dearly missed.
