Betty L. Paffrath

1951 - 2021

Betty L. Paffrath, 70, of Butler, died Thursday at Butler Memorial Hospital after an illness.
Betty was born Sept. 9, 1951, in Harrisonburg, Va., and was the daughter of Ashby and Elsie McCurdy Keyser.
She was a 1971 graduate of Butler High School, and for over 25 years, she worked in the housekeeping department at Butler Memorial Hospital.
She was a Catholic by faith.
Betty was a volunteer at the Butler County Mental Health Association and The Grapevine Center in Butler.
She loved spending time with her granddaughter, Elisha.
Survivors include her daughter, Michelle (Darren) Osche of Butler; her stepson, Roy (Sara) Blatt Jr. of Butler; one brother, William (Linda) Keyser of Verona, Pa.; one sister, Margaret (Victor) Angert of Florida; six grandchildren, Elisha Flick, Leah (Bruce) Gruver, Darren J. (Marlee) Osche, Shelvic Blatt, Suzan Blatt and Zachary Blatt; and three great-grandchildren.
Betty was preceded by one son, Michael Paffrath, who died in 2020; and by her significant other, Roy Blatt Sr.
PAFFRATH - There will be no public visitation for Betty L. Paffrath, who died Thursday, Dec. 9, 2021.
A private memorial service will be held.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Grapevine Center in Butler.
Arrangements were entrusted to Jay Bryan Funeral Home in Prospect.
