John F. "Johnny I." Ihlenfeld, 53, of Home Avenue died at 12:30 a.m. Tuesday at his home.
Born Jan. 10, 1952, in Butler, he was the son of the late John V. and Dorothy E. Rice Ihlenfeld.
Mr. Ihlenfeld attended Butler High School and Lincoln Welding School and retired from AK Steel as a grinder.
He was a member of the American Legion Post 778.
Surviving are his wife, Kandice Keown Ihlenfeld, whom he married
July 31, 1971; a daughter, Mrs. Daniel (Heather) Osmer of Bloomville, Ohio; a son, John V. Ihlenfeld of Butler; and a grandson. He also is survived by a sister, Sara Jane Reisinger of Ellwood City; and three brothers, Joe, and Judd Ihlenfeld and Herbert Schmeider, all of Butler.
