Diane L. Geibel, 64, of Butler died at 7:20 a.m. Sunday at Sunnyview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Butler after battling cancer.
Diane was born Sept. 19, 1953, in Butler. She was the daughter of Carl C. "Shiek" and Madeline "Pinky" Stillwagon Geibel.
She was employed at K.E. Randall & Associates until her illness.
Diane was a member of St. Paul Roman Catholic Church.
She enjoyed reading, puzzles and spending time with her family and friends.
She is survived by her sister, Donna Steibel and her husband, Dennis "Doc" Steibel, of Butler; her nephew, Joseph Grippo of Lancaster; her nephew, James R. Grippo, and his wife, Bridgette, of Bristow, Va.; and her great-nephew, Maddox; and her great-nieces, Madeline and Milan Grippo. She is also survived by many cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents.

Diane rode my bus and lived two miles down the road from my house. She was a very nice, soft-spoken person. So sad to see the notice of her passing.

Diane was a soft spoken person who knew what she wanted and went for it. She and I worked a committee together and have our picture in one of the year books.
