REUNION INFO AND SEPTEMBER LUNCHEON;

After discussions with some of our classmates and hearing that many did not know about the reunion, the BHS Reunion Committee has decided to extend the registration deadline to Saturday, August 15, 2026! 😊 As of today, we have 135 classmates and spouses registered. There is still plenty of time to register and join us!
The cost is $50.00 per person with no refunds after August 25, 2026. The reunion will take place on Saturday, September 12, 2026 at the Butler Country Club from 4-9 PM. Dinner will be at 5:30 PM. The evening is a CASH BAR only (NO BYOB). Credit  cards will NOT be accepted at the bar! Casual dress, nice jeans are acceptable. Preferably no shorts. Please consider attending to visit with many of your BHS classmates!

BUTLER SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL TOUR...We will gather in the Senior High auditorium on Saturday morning at 11:30 AM. Mr. Doug Ford, the BHS principal, will be hosting the tour along with 6-8 honor students. The tour will take approximately 11/2 hours. It should be fun walking the school halls again, as well as seeing the new building additions!

SEPTEMBER 14th CLASS LUNCHEON...Many of you may remember that a few years ago, during the summer, we had a monthly class luncheon at the Hardwood Cafe with approximately 45 classmates in attendance. It was wonderful to see so many of you join us! This September, our luncheon will take place on the 14th, just TWO DAYS after our 55th Reunion. If you are still in town and want another day to connect with classmates, we would love to have you join us!

The Hardwood Cafe needs us to sign a contract to reserve the restaurant space. In that contract, we must issue a deposit and choose a limited menu. The day of the luncheon, each classmate will be responsible to pay CASH ONLY to the restaurant. Unfortunately, NO credit cards will be accepted.

It is IMPORTANT for the committee to have as accurate count as to how many will be in attendance before signing the contract. If you are committed to attending, we want to add you to our list! Please either email Kathy at teacherkat47@gmail.com or comment on our BHS Class of 71 FaceBook page post to reserve your spot.

DEADLINE to RSVP for the September 14th class luncheon is also extended to Saturday, August 15, 2026. Even those of you who are REGULAR ATTENDEES must RSVP by August 15th.
At the present time, there are 36 classmates and spouses signed up to attend! It would be wonderful to have another gathering of 45–50 people on September 14, 2026. We hope you consider joining us! 🤍🌪️💛

Remembrance

I was going through the memory wall of classmates we have lost. On one profile of a friend, James Zambroski had posted the first comment. What it said in effect was, "none of your classmates have left a comment yet and tho I did not know you, everyone here should have a remembrance....". That struck a chord with me and I agree, we owe it to each other to acknowledge that common experience that was BHS whether we were great friends with the person, friendly acquaintances, or simply remember the face in the profile. Please take a moment to remember those that you knew, and at least some of those who have not been remembered, our time on this journey is short and limited, give those that have left us a few moments of the time you have left, together all of these people made us who we are today, they deserve our acknowledgement that they touched our lives.
