James Cope

James S. Cope, 53, of Economy died unexpectedly Wedn-esday at his home.
Born Nov. 10, 1953, in Pittsburgh, he was the son of Dr. Donald I. and Margaret Geltz Cope of Butler.
He graduated from Butler High School in 1971 and then graduated from Robert Morris College with a degree in accounting.
Mr. Cope was very proud of all his children and their accomplishments and supported them all the way. He enjoyed winning when he played his daughter on the tennis court and at the bowling alley.
He loved to collect wine and he enjoyed wine tasting with his wife. He also loved to play the Gold Stock Market.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Karen Flecker Cope; a son, Donald; two daughters, Sara and Susan; and his loyal companion, Caramel. He also is survived by two sisters, Nancy Cope of Butler and Anne Cope of Largo, Fla.

Died Wednesday, Feb. 28, 2007

We always had fun in English class. We laughed b/c sitting you were still taller than me standing ! A great guy .

A real "Gentle Giant"... His size could intimidate but he was such a warm easy going guy. I was glad our paths crossed, his big smile would always brighten your day.
