I remember Steve from the summers I would babysit near his home and he would come visit. I have a picture of him from his senior year in a blue jean vest w a US flag and peace sign ! That about said it all about Steve. He was a symbol of the times and loved his life. I am sorry he is gone.
Steve and I met in scouts, I don't remember but I think it was 6th grade, but we remained friends past high school. I always admired, and maybe enveied a little, his easy going way and the way he put anyone he met immediately at ease with that incredible smile that he had.We lost touch after Ieft Butler but I did remember him over the years and was saddened to hear of his passing.
