LeRoy Earl Burkholder II, 52, of 1308 Beaver Road, Myrtle Beach, S.C., died at 3:29 a.m. Wednesday at Ralph H. Johnson Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Charleston, S.C.
Born in Butler, May 16, 1952, he was the son of Ann Raymoth Burkholder and LeRoy E. Burkholder Sr.
He served in the Air Force from 1971 to 1974 and was a Vietnam War veteran.
Mr. Burkholder was a construction pipe welder.
He was a member of the Christian Church of Myrtle Beach. He also belonged to the National Rifle Association and the North American Hunting Club.
Surviving are two daughters, Jennifer Johnson of Aynor, S.C., and Kelly Burkholder of Myrtle Beach; a son, Shawn Burkholder of Columbia, S.C.; and four grandchildren, Christopher Jared, Shaylynn Ayanna, Delaney Grace and Mason Reid; and his mother of Myrtle Beach.
He was preceded in death by his father, LeRoy E. Burkholder Sr.; and a sister, Debra Mondell.
