Barbara Green Frederick

Worked at Heckett on Main Street in Butler - from 8/27/73 until 12/6/01 as an Administrative Assistant in the Engineering Department for 28 years until I was downsized, then worked in Boyers for USIS for 7 months; then came back to Butler in 2003 to work for Center for Community Resources. Got married June 22, 1974, will have been married for 39 years as of June 22, 2013, started out living in Sarver PA then moved back to my hometown of Meridian and put a double wide on property across from the "old" Meridian Inn, now W.Rick's and then bought my Grandparents home. Will be working 40 years as of August 27, 2013. Enjoy going to Car shows around the area to show the 1964 Chevy Impala Super sport we have and ride the Harley Road King when the weather permits.

My husband passed away June 3, 2017 the day after my birthday at Butler memorial hospital from a heart attack and my Doberman passed two weeks after my husband from a broken heart. I retired May 17, 2019 best job ever!

Went to Ft Lauderdale Florida, went on a Caribbean cruise before I retired and spent a month in Clearwater Florida and plan on going to Ft Myers/Sanibel

2017 was not a good year for me lost my cousin Denny Martsolf July 2017 and another cousin Terri Martsolf two day before Christmas 2017 both from cancer .

February 2022 spent a month in ft myers Florida loved the area and weather. Got to see the manatee which were amazing with there babies!!

Came back the beginning of March and started the process of getting a total knee replacement that happened June 20, 2022. Within a month I went from using a walker to a cane to a walking stick to nothing. I was also allowed to drive after my staples were taken out. I spent six weeks at my friends house recovering since his place is one story and I live in a two story house. And the hardest part was seeing my knee after surgery and the therapy was brutal. It isn’t for the weak believe me!!!

But now that it is over and I’m recovered I’m back out fishing again after five
months of not being on the water. So if you are thinking about knee replacement surgery I’ll be happy to share my experience.

Plan on going to Clewiston Florida for six weeks in February 2023!

Graduated 1971 from Butler, went to Erie Business Center in Erie PA and graduated with Associate Degree in Specialized Business Executive Secretarial Sciences June 1973.
